Open Scene #1: On Cooking
Who: Moira and YOUR character!
Where: Someplace with a kitchen
When: Whenever!
“Honey, if you’re going to cook onions for spaghetti sauce, you should probably dice them instead!” she called out into the other room, taking the wooden spoon from the counter to stir the pot. “I mean, who wants to bite into a huge piece of onion in their spaghetti? And you diced the peppers -- is everything going to cook evenly?” She asked, bringing the spoon to her lips. It smelled delicious, though a biteful of barely cooked onions and peppers wouldn’t be as appetizing as it smelled. She brought the spoon back to the pot, and had to fight the urge to see if she could dump the onions out of the cutting board and dice them properly. After all, they were barely cooked, right? So it shouldn’t affect the cooking? And having everything properly diced would be better when the sauce was cooked evenly and people weren’t having to chew a mouthful of sliced onions right? The compulsion to do so was there, even though the sauce wasn’t hers, and even though she wasn’t supposed to anywhere near the kitchen and she certainly wasn’t supposed to be micromanaging things.
And yet... she found herself rinsing off the cutting board in the sink and dumping the peppers and onions onto it before they actually started cooking. And she was searching around for wherever he had put the chef’s knife when he walked in.
Open to any original male character, aged 21 and up! There is no requirement to respond with a character journal or to have a character profile, and he could even be a character you made up on the spot. The nature of the relationship -- friends, roommates, lovers (or something less serious), etc. -- is wide open. The same goes for the state of the relationship (good, bad, tense, indifferent). Could go towards fluff, drama, supernatural, WHATEVER! No need to PM me about backstory, any backstory can be developed within the posts. Like true improv, if you post it in-character then I'll go with it (and vice versa). Example: if your character mentions how my character pushed them down yesterday, I'll just roll with it!
Really, this is just taking two characters and throwing them together to see whatever happens all improv-like! The sky is the limit here :)! Open scenes are all non-smut/FTB only and the scene goes to whoever posts an in-character response first! No anonymous comments.
